This workshop will feature a brief introduction to types of graduate funding and resources for LIS students. The MLIS Academic Advisor will also be there to answer specific funding questions. The second half of the workshop will cover locating grants to support projects in the library and information science fields and will feature a guest experienced in grant writing for library projects.
Educational Leadership and Policy Studies
This workshop discusses funding resources for Ph.D. students including dissertation research, travel, and dissertation-year writing support. It also includes resources for Ph.D. students planning to file in 2012-13 who are looking for postdoctoral funding.
This workshop introduces current graduate students to funding resources to locate fellowships, scholarships, grants, and student employment opportunities to help finance their graduate education. Topics covered in this workshop include: 1) How to navigate GFIS’s Funding Resources Subject Guide; 2) Search strategies; 3) Timeline for finding funding; 4) Frequently asked questions about funding for graduate school.
This workshop introduces graduate students to searching for funding opportunities in music in select databases and on the web. It also discusses some travel and conference funding opportunities as well as timelines for applying for scholarships and fellowships.
